Tonopah became famous for its rich silver  discoveries and later supported WWII military aviation.

Today some of the old buildings are still standing and in use. Visit the Tonopah Central Nevada  Museum and Historical Society for a rich  collection of  Tonopah's past.

Caliente

An historic railroad town, the railroad depot  houses several government offices and a growing library. The area around what is now Caliente was  settled in the early 1870s. On August 3rd, 1901,  Caliente's first post office opened.

Pioche
Considered a "gun slinging" town in its early years, Pioche became an even more "tough and violent" town when ithe population grew to approx. 10,000 residents in 1871 due to mining.










Currently under renovation, the Brown-Thompson Opera House has memories of being a movie theater and dance hall
